Recent Hubble Space Telescope observations refine Uranus' rotation period. The planet's day is now measured at 17 hours, 14 minutes, and 52 seconds, 28 seconds longer than previous estimates based on 1986 Voyager 2 data. Continuous aurora observations from 2011 to 2022 enabled precise magnetic pole tracking. This refined measurement aids future mission planning and enhances understanding of Uranus' atmospheric and magnetic conditions. The technique may extend to measuring rotation in exoplanets.
