An intense heatwave is currently affecting Tamaulipas, Mexico. Temperatures are expected to remain high for the next five to seven days. An anticyclonic system is stationary over northeastern Mexico, causing clear skies and increased solar radiation.

Thermal sensations may exceed 45 degrees Celsius, especially in urban and coastal areas. Northern municipalities are recording temperatures between 38 and 42 degrees Celsius. The State Civil Protection has issued alerts.

The Health Secretariat urges residents to avoid heatstroke. Recommendations include avoiding sun exposure between 11:00 and 17:00, wearing light-colored clothing, staying hydrated, and avoiding outdoor physical activity.
