Doha experienced strong winds and blowing dust during the daytime on Tuesday. The Department of Meteorology issued a warning for Tuesday night until 6 am Wednesday. The warning included the possibility of clouds and blowing dust in some areas, accompanied by strong winds and reduced visibility.
Offshore conditions also included clouds and slightly to moderately dusty conditions. Strong winds and high seas were expected offshore, further reducing visibility. Wind speeds inshore ranged from 8 to 18 knots, potentially reaching 28 knots in certain locations.
Offshore winds were stronger, ranging from 22 to 28 knots with gusts up to 40 knots at times. Visibility was reduced to 4-8 kilometers, or even less in some areas. The sea state inshore was 3-5 feet, while offshore it reached 7-9 feet, rising to 13 feet at times.
