Spain Faces Unseasonable Cold Snap with Snow and Frost

Edited by: Anna 🎨 Krasko

Spain is experiencing an unseasonable cold snap, bringing near-winter temperatures to the mainland. The state weather agency (Aemet) forecasts unstable weather throughout the week, with continued rainfall and thunderstorms.

A new cold front, originating from northern Europe, is causing a significant drop in temperatures across much of the country. Frost is expected in some provincial capitals, with temperatures potentially falling below zero in certain areas.

Snow is predicted in the northern mountain ranges, with up to 5 centimeters accumulating in the Pyrenees. Cities like León, Palencia, Burgos, Soria, and Teruel could see temperatures around 0-1°C.
