Severe flooding in southern Israel has led to the closure of the country's two longest highways. Highway 90, a vital artery stretching 480 kilometers, is shut down in multiple sections. The closures impact areas near Samar, Menucha Junction, and Kibbutz Ketura.
Highway 40, the second-longest road at 302 kilometers, is also closed to traffic. Police have issued traffic updates and road closure notices throughout the southern region. The extreme weather conditions are causing significant disruptions.
The northern exit from Eilat toward Be'er Ora is sealed. The city's outbound route via Highway 12 is also closed. Authorities are urging caution and advising travelers to seek alternative routes.
