Thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds and light rainfall lashed Bhandara, Gondia, and Gadchiroli districts on Wednesday. This weather shift was triggered by cumulonimbus clouds drifting from Madhya Pradesh. Isolated places in Nagpur districts also experienced the storms.
The change in weather caused a dip in maximum temperature. The mercury went below 40 degrees Celsius in Bhandara, Gondia, and Gadchiroli. A yellow alert for thunderstorms has been issued for Bhandara, Gondia, Chandrapur, and Gadchiroli.
Akola remained the hottest place in Vidarbha at 43.4 degrees Celsius. Nagpur experienced hot weather, reaching 40.2 degrees Celsius. High humidity was present in the evening despite the cloudy conditions.
