Delhi Weather: Dust Storm Brings Temperature Drop on April 12, 2025

New Delhi experienced a maximum temperature of 35.2 degrees Celsius on Saturday, April 12, 2025, following intense dust storms the previous day. This temperature is 0.9 degrees below the seasonal average. Humidity levels fluctuated between 41% and 78%. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported that Safdarjung observatory recorded 0.7 mm of rainfall in the 24 hours leading up to 8:30 AM on Saturday. Other areas also experienced rainfall, with Ayanagar recording the highest at 4 mm. On Friday, sudden weather changes brought dust storms and rain, causing a significant temperature drop across the city. The dust storm resulted in one reported fatality. The IMD forecasts partly cloudy skies for Sunday, with temperatures expected to range from a maximum of 37 degrees Celsius to a minimum of 20 degrees Celsius. The Central Pollution Control Board reported Delhi's air quality as 'moderate' on Saturday, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 166 at 4 PM.
