Venezuela is currently experiencing the seasonal phenomenon known as solar declination, lasting from March 21st to May 2nd. This annual event, caused by the Earth's orbital movement relative to the Sun, results in a noticeable increase in perceived temperature, particularly affecting the western, eastern, and plains regions of the country. The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (Inameh) reports that solar rays are hitting the national territory perpendicularly during this period, potentially pushing temperatures to between 37 and 39 degrees Celsius in certain areas. Inameh advises citizens to stay hydrated, avoid sun exposure during peak hours, and wear light clothing.
