The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) issued a warning regarding a severe cold snap affecting Egypt on Monday. Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the North Coast, and northern Upper Egypt are expected to experience cold weather during the day. South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt will experience moderate temperatures. Night and early morning will be very cold across most regions. The EMA has advised postponing night travel. Monday marked the coldest 24-hour period of the February cold snap, with temperatures reaching their lowest point at night. Light to moderate rainfall is expected in areas of the northeastern coasts and northern Lower Egypt, accompanied by intermittent winds. The Mediterranean Sea will have moderate waves, while the Red Sea will experience very turbulent waves.
