Pentagon Investigates Over 650 Potential UFO Cases, AARO Director Reports

Edited by: Uliana S. Аj

The Pentagon is currently tracking over 650 potential UFO cases, according to Sean Kirkpatrick, Director of the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO). Kirkpatrick addressed a Senate subcommittee, noting an increase from 350 reports earlier in the year.

Kirkpatrick highlighted AARO's role in identifying foreign technologies, including the Chinese surveillance balloon incident. He presented declassified videos, including one unresolved case of an orb near an MQ-9 drone in the Middle East in 2022, which remains unresolved due to a lack of data. Another video from South Asia was determined to be a shadow image.

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand led the hearing, addressing ongoing Congressional interest in UFOs. Kirkpatrick stated that AARO has found no credible evidence of extraterrestrial life, and the Pentagon continues to investigate unexplained sightings. AARO was established to investigate unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) that might pose a threat to national security.
