Boumarang Acquires Wavedrone for Maritime Drone Tech

Boumarang has acquired Wavedrone, an autonomous maritime drone platform, from Shore House IVF for $3.5 million. Wavedrone is designed for both above and subsurface filming in marine environments. This acquisition significantly expands Boumarang's operational capabilities, extending its reach from aerial to maritime applications and enhancing its ocean research potential.

Strategic Expansion into Maritime Applications

The addition of Wavedrone enables Boumarang to broaden its service offerings across several key areas. These include environmental monitoring, media and entertainment, search and rescue operations, and advancements in aquaculture. Shore House IVF director Danial Hoydal stated that the acquisition aligns with their mission to develop autonomous and sustainable technological solutions.

This partnership is intended to bolster Boumarang's financial standing and increase its market visibility. In August 2024, Trust Stamp partnered with Boumarang to integrate advanced AI technologies with its hydrogen-powered UAV systems, further enhancing Boumarang's technological capabilities and innovation in the field.
