In Ucayali, Peru, the popular tourist destination, Velo de la Novia, has been designated as the region's third Regional Conservation Area (ACR).
Located in the Boquerón district, Padre Abad province, this new ACR spans 14,422.37 hectares of basimontane mountain forests, high terrace forests, and mountain forests.
This initiative aims to protect the natural heritage and foster sustainable development, creating an environment conducive to investment in environmental conservation and tourism.
The area is home to a rich diversity of native flora and fauna, including threatened and endemic species.
