The Paraná state government's Urban Parks project, initiated in 2019, continues to make strides in environmental recovery and enhance the quality of life for residents.

By June 2025, 40 urban parks were completed across the state, with a total investment of R$79 million.

In 2024, the government, through the Institute Água e Terra (IAT), inaugurated 11 new urban parks in various municipalities, totaling an investment of R$13.7 million.

These parks are established in areas prone to erosion or with water resources, often including Ecological Permanent Preservation Areas (APP).

Besides environmental recovery, the parks provide recreational spaces, including trails and playgrounds.

Projects like Poliniza Paraná, which began in 2021, install stingless bee hives to aid in conserving native species and complement environmental education efforts.

The Urban Parks project is expected to be completed by 2026, contributing to environmental preservation and improving the quality of life for the people of Paraná.
