Grenada has won its 18th Gold Medal at the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Chelsea Flower Show in London. The show, which runs from May 20-24, 2025, saw Grenada secure its 8th consecutive gold, reinforcing its reputation as a leader in horticulture.
This year's exhibit, titled "The Old Mill," pays tribute to the sister islands of Carriacou and Petite Martinique. The display features a replica of a traditional stone windmill, representing the mills built in the 17th and 18th centuries, surrounded by Grenadian flora and spices like nutmeg, cocoa, orchids, and heliconias.
High Commissioner Rachér Croney commended the team’s ingenuity in highlighting Grenada's history, resilience, and beauty through flora. The exhibit also aligns with global challenges like climate change, showcasing resilient crops and sustainable land management practices.
