Spain is set to host the fifth annual Flora Biomarathon (BFE) from May 15th to 18th. The event aims to increase public awareness and appreciation of plant biodiversity. Various events will take place across Spain.

The Biomarathon is open to the public. Participants can explore and document plant species. They can join organized events led by botanists and experts, or use the iNaturalist platform independently.

The event is organized and funded by the Spanish Botanical Society (SEBOT) and the Spanish Society of Plant Conservation Biology (SEBiCoP). Over 7,000 people have participated in previous editions.
