Western Australia is set to showcase its spectacular wildflower season from July to November 2025. This natural display attracts tourists and locals eager to witness the diverse blooms, including everlastings, lilies, and orchids.
Approximately 60% of Western Australia's 12,000 wildflower species are found nowhere else on Earth. Iconic species like the kangaroo paw and snail orchids contribute to the region's unique biodiversity.
Key locations for viewing these wildflowers include Kalbarri National Park and Shark Bay. Several wildflower events are scheduled, such as the Nannup Flower and Garden Festival from August 7th to 17th, the Ravensthorpe Wildflower Show from September 8th to 20th, and the Esperance Wildflower Festival from September 20th to 24th. It has been illegal to pick wildflowers since 1935, with a $2000 fine for offenders.
