The endemic Manisa tulip (Tulipa orphanidea) is currently blooming in Turkey's Spil Mountain National Park, drawing nature enthusiasts. This unique tulip species, a symbol of Manisa, typically blooms for a short period of about 10 days each year.

Professor Levent Şık from Manisa Celal Bayar University (MCBÜ) has identified morphologically distinct tulip species on Demirci Bardakçı Mountain and in the higher elevations of Alaşehir. These variations exhibit different colors, including some with yellow bands, prompting ongoing genetic research.

The Directorate of National Parks organizes nature events to celebrate the Manisa tulip bloom. These events provide opportunities for students and nature guides to explore the area and photograph the tulips, fostering appreciation for this regional treasure. Spil Mountain National Park, located 24 km from Manisa, is known for its diverse flora and fauna, as well as its mythological and historical significance.
