Córdoba, Argentina is increasing its efforts in ecological restoration by boosting the production of native flora in 2025 [1, 2]. The Subsecretaría de Biodiversidad del Ministerio de Ambiente y Economía Circular is leading this initiative [13].
A recent workshop in southern Córdoba focused on strengthening ecological restoration efforts and expanding the network of forest nurseries [13]. This includes providing resources and training to local communities and educational institutions to support these efforts [2, 5].
The Plan Integral de Restauración Ecológica (PIRE) was presented to local leaders, outlining a comprehensive approach to ecological restoration [4, 10]. The province is also supporting innovative agricultural practices that integrate biodiversity and ecological balance into productive landscapes [3, 13]. The government of Córdoba launched PIRE with a budget of 100 million [4, 10].
