Labuan is preparing to host the first-ever Borneo Flora Festival from July 26 to 30, 2025, at the Labuan International Sea Sports Complex Recreational Park. This event aims to showcase Malaysia's rich biodiversity and boost the horticulture industry.

The festival will feature 20 exhibition gardens displaying over 200,000 flowers and plants. Organizers anticipate attracting more than 50,000 visitors, including tourists from Brunei. The event is an initiative under the Labuan Tourism Task Force to enhance the island's appeal beyond its beaches and diving spots.

Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Zaliha Mustafa highlighted the festival as a symbol of the nation's biodiversity and a potential boost to the horticulture industry. The Labuan Corporation is collaborating with the Department of Federal Territories to ensure the festival reaches a wide audience and inspires appreciation for horticulture among younger generations.
