Arizona's Wildflower Season

Edited by: Anna 🎨 Krasko

In the numerous national parks of Arizona March and April is a season of wildflowers. In 2025 it is expected to be less exuberant because of low rainfall lately.

Yellow brittlebush blooms lend their golden hues to a foggy day at Kofa National Wildlife Refuge in Western Arizona.

Desert globemallows, brittlebushes and owl’s clover form a multicolored tapestry around saguaros at Tonto National Monument, east of the Phoenix area.

Mexican goldpoppies fill a clearing beneath the Santa Catalina Mountains at Catalina State Park, north of Tucson. Riparian areas and irrigated gardens offer the best chances for viewing.
