The Algeciras Bay Port Authority (APBA) in Spain has announced a significant environmental and landscape restoration project for the San Roque coastline, investing €941,159. The project, divided into two phases, aims to enhance the natural environment and its cultural and recreational value. The first phase will focus on cleaning the area, demolishing old structures, and restoring historical bunkers. The second phase will concentrate on environmental recovery through reforestation with native species and the installation of walkways to protect the sandy areas. Informational signage about local ecosystems will also be installed. The project is expected to last a year due to the seasonal nature of flora collection and planting.
