Ongoing Discoveries

Recent work includes the transfer of bone samples from the 2024 excavations to the Anthropology Laboratory at Muş Alparslan University for advanced analysis. These analyses aim to uncover demographic, biological, and genetic insights. The project seeks to enhance understanding and awareness of Malazgirt's historical significance.

This includes a survey across 150 square kilometers, utilizing geophysical scanning to pinpoint the battlefield's exact location. Discoveries include arrowheads, sword fragments, Roman coins, and Seljuk-period graves.
