Explorers have discovered over 110 megalithic structures near the Malampuzha [Malampuzha] dam in Kerala [Kerala] and Buddhist artifacts in Ratnagiri [Ratnagiri], Odisha [Odisha]. In Kerala, near the Malampuzha dam in Palakkad [Palakkad], over 110 megalithic structures were found across 45 hectares. These include cists (stone-built coffin-like boxes), stone circles, urns, dolmens, and dolmenoid cists, mainly crafted from granite slabs and boulders. In Odisha, about 100 kilometers from Bhubaneswar [Bhubaneswar], the Ratnagiri excavation revealed Buddhist art, architecture, and culture. Finds include three Buddha heads, a brick stupa with a crisscross design, a rectangular chaitya complex, and votive stupas featuring deities like Tara [Tara], Chunda [Chunda], and Manjusri [Manjusri]. Sanskrit inscriptions, greyware pottery, and monolithic and structural votive stupas were also found. These discoveries showcase India's historical ingenuity.
