A tragic DUI incident has unfolded in Folly Beach, where a newlywed couple's celebration turned into a nightmare. In a court hearing, the husband, Mr. Hutchinson, recounted his last moments with his wife, who expressed her desire for the night to last forever. This poignant testimony came as the driver, Komoroski, faced charges for driving under the influence, resulting in the death of his wife.
Komoroski was accused of consuming alcohol at several bars before driving at 65 mph in a 25 mph zone, ultimately colliding with the golf cart carrying the couple. A blood test revealed she was three times over the legal drinking limit. Despite her refusal to provide breath samples at the scene, she later admitted to felony DUI charges in court.
During the sentencing, Komoroski expressed remorse and accepted full responsibility for her actions. Mr. Hutchinson, who suffered severe injuries, stated that while he believes she is genuinely sorry, it does not change the fact that his wife is gone, and their future together has been irrevocably altered. He described the emotional toll of the incident, saying, 'That will take some time for sure.'
