Eduardo Pontes, partner at Infis, emphasized the event's role in addressing the energy transition and strengthening the business environment, with participation from accountants, lawyers, consultants, and directors across various sectors. Claudio Nunes, Executive Director of E&P at the Brazilian Institute of Petroleum (IBP), underscored the sector's significant economic contribution, representing 17% of Brazil's industrial GDP and supporting 1.6 million jobs. Participants like Francisco Bulhões from PRIO and Tabita Loureiro from PPSA also discussed the challenges posed by the current tax system and the development of pre-salt production.
