In Tamil Nadu, PMK President Anbumani Ramadoss stated that the DMK government has doubled the state's public debt to ₹9,40,000 crore in four years, a significant increase from ₹4,40,000 crore under the previous administration in 2021. Ramadoss criticized the government's reliance on borrowing rather than increasing non-tax revenues. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka's EWIS Colombo Ltd exported its first consignment of locally built laptops to Zimbabwe. Chairman Sanjeewa Wickramanayake mentioned ongoing discussions with Zambia, Kenya, South Africa, and China for potential business expansions.
