Gainesville ISD in Texas approved a Freeport Tax Exemption, aiming to attract businesses by exempting personal property taxes on inventory shipped out-of-state within 175 days. According to Gainesville Economic Development Corporation (GEDC) representatives, this exemption is a key factor for businesses when choosing locations. Other entities in the area, including the city of Gainesville and hospital districts, already have this exemption in place. North Central Texas College and Sivells Bend ISD have also agreed to add it. In Indonesia, the West Java Provincial Government, in collaboration with Bank BJB, launched T-Samsat, an installment plan for Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB). This service allows taxpayers to pay their PKB and Mandatory Contributions to the Road Traffic Accident Fund (SWDKLLJ) in installments. T-Samsat offers benefits such as online connection to the West Java Samsat System, no administrative fees or penalties for delays, flexible payment options, and automatic debit from the taxpayer's savings account one week before the due date. To use T-Samsat, individuals must have a Bank BJB savings account, ATM card, and bjb DIGI access, and no outstanding vehicle tax from the previous year.
