New Music Friday: Sheeran, Maroon 5 & Lisa Release New Tracks

Edited by: Olga Sukhina

The first New Music Friday of May 2025 saw the release of several major tracks. Ed Sheeran followed up "Azizam" with a nostalgic single, "Old Phone," both from his upcoming album, Play. He promoted the latter through an Instagram account and a temporary Old Phone Pub. Maroon 5 and LISA collaborated on "Priceless," a funk-infused pop track. This single leads the way for Maroon 5's eighth studio album. It also punctuates LISA's first full solo era with her debut LP Alter Ego. Other notable collaborations include Don Toliver and Doja Cat on "Lose My Mind" for the F1 movie soundtrack. Bailey Zimmerman and Luke Combs released a duet, "Backup Plan." Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco dropped the deluxe version of their album I Said I Love You First, while Quavo delivered a collaboration with Takeoff titled "Dope Boy Phone."
