Lady Gaga's Coachella 2025 Set: Mic Malfunction and 'Mayhem' Magic

Edited by: Olga Sukhina

Lady Gaga's second weekend headlining set at Coachella on April 18, 2025, became a viral sensation after a microphone malfunction during her performance of "Abracadabra." The headset mic experienced technical difficulties, cutting out intermittently during the song.

Gaga, a true professional, continued singing and dancing without missing a beat. She transitioned to a handheld microphone before returning with a new headset later in the show. Addressing the crowd during a piano interlude, Gaga quipped, "I'm sorry my mic was broken for a second. At least you know I sing live. I guess all we can do is our best, and I'm certainly giving you my best tonight."

Gaga first took the Coachella stage on April 11, 2025, for the festival's opening weekend. Her sets featured music from her new album, "Mayhem," released on March 7, 2025, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Throughout both weekends, she performed a mix of new tracks and classic hits, including her Oscar-winning song "Shallow."
