The world premiere of "A Knight's Tale" musical adaptation is set to captivate audiences at Manchester Opera House from April 11 to May 10, 2025. Based on the 2001 hit movie, the stage show promises an "unforgettable feast for the eyes," featuring jousting tournaments and a rocking soundtrack including Queen's "We Will Rock You." Andrew Coshan, who plays the lead role of William Thatcher, teases innovative stagecraft. Award-winning costume designer Gabriella Slade is creating impressive costumes, with clever solutions to avoid heavy metal armor. Expect stilts and surprises as the production tackles the challenges of staging horses and jousting. The musical will feature iconic songs from the film, along with hits like Bonnie Tyler's "Holding out for a Hero" and S Club 7's "Reach." Performances will be held Tuesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 PM, with additional matinees on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 2:30 PM. Tickets start from £15.
