Ed Sheeran delighted London commuters with a surprise lunchtime performance outside King's Cross station on Friday, April 4, 2025. The 34-year-old singer-songwriter, dressed in a pink T-shirt, played a selection of his hits, including "Perfect," "Bad Habits," and "Shivers." The performance followed a promotional tour on a pink double-decker bus to celebrate his new single, "Azizam," which means "my dear" in Farsi. Sheeran told Scott Mills on BBC Radio 2 that the song was inspired by his collaboration with a Persian producer. Sheeran's upcoming eighth studio album, titled *Play*, is slated for release in 2025. He has also premiered a new song, "Old Phone", inspired by rediscovering his old phone from 2015, during a performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
