Beyoncé's 'Cowboy Carter' Tour Sells Over 1 Million Tickets, Kendrick Lamar and SZA's 'Luther' Tops Billboard Hot 100

Beyoncé's 'Cowboy Carter' tour has already sold over 1 million tickets after a month of availability. While facing initial criticism for high ticket prices, especially for the Club Ho-Down section at $1,795, the tour has seen impressive sales, with 94% of tickets sold across 30 dates. Some of the least expensive tickets were first to sell during the presale, creating the perception that tickets were getting more expensive and the price was increasing, as the minutes of the presale ticked away. The average ticket price during the presale was $670. Several shows in major markets like Houston, Atlanta, Washington D.C., and Chicago are effectively sold out. In other news, Kendrick Lamar and SZA's collaboration, 'Luther,' has topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for a fourth week, marking Lamar's sixth No. 1 and SZA's third. SZA's album 'SOS' also achieved a milestone, becoming the longest-running top 10 album by a Black artist in Billboard 200 history, surpassing Michael Jackson's 'Thriller'.
