Charli XCX Dominates 2025 Brit Awards with Five Nominations; The Beatles Receive First Nod in Nearly 50 Years

The 2025 Brit Awards are set to take place at London's O2 Arena, with Charli XCX leading the nominations with five, including Album of the Year for "Brat." She's also nominated for Artist of the Year, Best Pop Act, Best Dance Act, and Song of the Year for "Guess." Charli XCX's "Brat" was named Collins' 2024 Word of the Year and fueled the "Brat summer" trend. Sabrina Carpenter will receive the Global Success Award and perform, having topped the UK singles chart for 21 weeks last year and being the first female artist to hold the top three slots simultaneously. An emotional tribute will be paid to Liam Payne, who passed away last year. The Beatles received their first Brit nomination in almost 50 years for their final track, "Now and Then," in the Song of the Year category. Other notable nominations and omissions include Ariana Grande's absence from International Artist of the Year and Blossoms' lack of recognition for their chart-topping album "Gary." The Brit Awards will be broadcast on ITV and ITVX on March 1st.
