Zama's FHE Advancements in Blockchain Privacy

Edited by: Yuliya Shumai

In Paris, Zama, a cryptography company, has made significant strides in Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) on June 25, 2025, improving blockchain privacy and security. Zama's innovations are set to reshape how data is handled on blockchains globally.

In December 2024, Zama launched the fhEVM Coprocessor on Ethereum's Sepolia testnet, enabling confidential smart contracts. The mainnet launch was planned for mid-2025.

In March 2024, Zama raised €67 million in a Series A funding round. The funds will be used to expand Zama's team and advance FHE applications in blockchain and AI. In May 2024, Zama partnered with Galactica.com to integrate FHE into its Web3 Identity Stack.

Zama plans to integrate its technology with Solana in 2026, targeting hundreds to thousands of transactions per second. Unlike coin mixers, Zama's technology encrypts transaction data while maintaining traceability, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
