In June 2025, venture capital investments in the cryptocurrency sector surged, exceeding $1.5 billion by June 20, according to DeFiLlama data. This marks the strongest monthly performance since March 2025, indicating renewed confidence in blockchain startups.

A significant driver of this growth was Circle's IPO on the New York Stock Exchange on June 5, 2025, under the ticker "CRCL." The IPO raised approximately $1.1 billion, valuing the company at roughly $6.9 billion at the time.

Circle's stock has since soared over 500%, reaching an all-time high above $200, boosting its valuation to nearly $50 billion. Other notable funding rounds include EigenLayer's $70 million and investments in Yupp, Hypernative, Turnkey, Noah, and OneBalance.
