Bitget Wallet, Mastercard Launch Zero-Fee Crypto Card

Edited by: Elena Weismann

In a move toward mainstream crypto adoption, Bitget Wallet, in collaboration with Mastercard and Immersve, has launched a zero-fee crypto-linked card. This card allows users to make payments directly from their digital wallets at over 150 million merchants globally. The announcement was made on July 3, 2024, as reported by The Block, GlobeNewswire, and Bitget News.

The card offers real-time funding via on-chain swaps and deposits. Users can apply digitally and add the card to their mobile wallets within minutes. Transactions are settled on-chain through crypto-to-fiat conversion, adhering to Mastercard's regulatory framework.

Initially available in the United Kingdom and the European Union, the card will expand to Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand in the coming months. This partnership aims to make crypto payments as seamless and secure as traditional transactions, according to statements from Bitget Wallet and Mastercard.
