Ripple Commits $25 Million in RLUSD to Education Nonprofits

Ripple, the US-based crypto firm, committed $25 million in Ripple USD (RLUSD) to education nonprofits DonorsChoose and Teach For America on May 5. The grant, processed via The Giving Block, aims to support teachers and students.

DonorsChoose CEO Alix Guerrier highlighted teachers' out-of-pocket expenses for classroom resources. Ripple cited a 2024 Gallup survey indicating 55% of US parents are dissatisfied with K-12 education quality, pointing to funding gaps.

Teach For America CEO Aneesh Sohoni stated the funding will expand their tutoring program and provide financial assistance to teachers. The Giving Block forecasts crypto donations to reach $2.5 billion in 2025.
