Visa Enters Stablecoin Arena with USDG Network

Visa is joining the Global Dollar Network (USDG), a stablecoin consortium led by Paxos, a U.S. regulated digital asset firm. The consortium includes crypto and fintech leaders like Robinhood, Kraken, and Galaxy Digital.

Visa's entry marks the first traditional finance player to join USDG, whose initial members include Anchorage Digital, Bullish, and Nuvei. USDG aims to distribute yield to participant firms that enhance connectivity and liquidity.

This highlights Visa's increasing involvement in the crypto space, following reports of their collaboration with Sam Altman's World Network to integrate Visa card functionality into self-custody crypto wallets.
