Fidelity Launches Crypto IRAs, Enabling Bitcoin Investment in Retirement Accounts

Fidelity Investments, via its Fidelity Digital Assets subsidiary, has launched crypto Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) allowing investment in Bitcoin, Ether, and Litecoin. As of today, investors can register for Fidelity Crypto Roth, Traditional, or Rollover IRAs. To be eligible, investors must be U.S. citizens and at least 18 years old. This move follows the introduction of various digital asset investment vehicles, including ETFs tracking Solana's performance. Bitcoin, Ether, and Litecoin are currently ranked as the 1st, 2nd, and 23rd largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization.
