On March 25, 2024, Abracadabra.Finance, a decentralized lending protocol, experienced an exploit resulting in the loss of approximately $13 million. The attack targeted pools utilizing GMX tokens. According to PeckShield, a crypto cybersecurity firm, the compromised contracts led to the theft of about 6,260 Ether (ETH). GMX clarified that its contracts were not directly affected, but MIM's pools, based on GMX v2 pools, were involved. The hacker funded their address via Tornado Cash and bridged the stolen ETH from Arbitrum to Ethereum.
