At Mobile World Congress 2025, Powerhive and Telcoin announced a partnership to introduce a blockchain-powered financial and mobility ecosystem in emerging markets. The collaboration leverages smart equity, regulated Digital Cash, and mobile-first payments to drive accessibility and efficiency. In 2023, sustainable mobility startups secured $21.1 billion in funding, but access to capital remains a barrier, especially in emerging markets. Powerhive's CEO, Christopher Horner, stated that blockchain-powered investment models will allow investors to benefit directly from real-world asset usage. Investors can participate in real-time funding of electric mobility infrastructure, earning on-chain dividends from mobility service revenues. Telcoin's expansion to Kenya with its eKHS Digital Cash facilitates real-time settlements. The Powerhive token will officially launch in Q2 2025.
