Ether Price Drop Nears $340M MakerDAO Liquidation Trigger

Ether's 11.5% price drop in the last 24 hours is approaching critical liquidation levels on MakerDAO. As of today, ETH trades around $2,390, but on-chain data indicates that if the price falls to $1,926, $1,842, and $1,793, three MakerDAO positions worth a total of $340 million will be liquidated. Each position is valued between $109 million and $126 million. Over the past 24 hours, $296 million in ETH positions have already been liquidated. A further 19% drop in ETH price could trigger a liquidation cascade across DeFi protocols and exchanges, potentially creating a buying opportunity for traders.
