PepsiCo Opens Snack Factory in Indonesia with $200 Million Investment

PepsiCo Indonesia has inaugurated its first snack factory in Cikarang, West Java, with a total investment of $200 million (Rp 3.04 trillion).

The factory, built on a 60,000-square-meter area, will produce snack products like Lay's, Cheetos, and Doritos for the Indonesian domestic market. Production is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2025.

The facility is committed to sustainable practices, including using 100% renewable energy and 100% recycled water. It aims to be net water positive from the start. The factory is also expected to employ local workers and empower local farmers through the development of corn and potato raw materials.
