Meta Platforms Inc. is aggressively recruiting top artificial intelligence (AI) researchers, offering lucrative compensation packages.

These packages include signing bonuses of up to $100 million. CEO Mark Zuckerberg aims to build a "superintelligence" team for advanced AI development.

Zuckerberg personally reached out to researchers from companies like OpenAI and Google DeepMind. OpenAI's CEO, Sam Altman, confirmed that no key researchers left, citing the company's innovative culture and long-term mission.

Meta also plans to acquire a majority stake in Scale AI for $15 billion. Scale AI CEO Alexandr Wang is expected to join Meta's AI team after the acquisition. This move highlights the intense competition for AI talent in the tech industry.

Some researchers from Google DeepMind and other companies have accepted Meta's offers. Meta's large investments and aggressive recruitment strategy aim to accelerate its AI technology development.
