Jeff Bezos's personal firm, Bezos Expeditions, is leading a $72 million investment in Toloka. Toloka is an AI data solutions company that specializes in training and evaluating AI models using human experts. The investment, announced on May 7, 2025, aims to accelerate Toloka's global growth, particularly in the United States.

Toloka works with major tech companies like Amazon, Microsoft, and Anthropic. The company is part of Nebius Group, an AI infrastructure company listed on Nasdaq. Following a corporate restructuring in 2023, Toloka emerged as a standalone brand under Nebius, allowing it to operate internationally and receive foreign investment.

Mikhail Parakhin, CTO of Shopify, is also participating in the investment and will join Toloka's board as executive chairman. Toloka's CEO, Olga Megorskaya, noted that the investment provides the needed flexibility for the company to operate independently and scale its technological innovations.
