Frankfurt/Beijing - The European Central Bank (ECB) and the People's Bank of China (PBOC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on central bank cooperation during a visit to Beijing.
The agreement, signed by ECB President Christine Lagarde and PBOC Governor Pan Gongsheng, updates a previous MoU from 2008.
It establishes a framework for regular information exchange, dialogue, and technical cooperation between the two institutions. Lagarde highlighted the importance of global cooperation, expressing her pleasure in signing the MoU as a symbol of ongoing dialogue with the PBOC.
