The euro has gained ground against major currencies during Wednesday's European trading session. The euro reached two-day highs against the yen, pound, and Canadian dollar. It also saw gains against the Swiss franc and U.S. dollar. The euro rose to 163.02 against the yen, up from an early low of 162.01. Similarly, it climbed to 0.8523 against the pound, from 0.8489 earlier. Against the Canadian dollar, the euro reached 1.5685, a rise from 1.5606. Against the Swiss franc, the euro advanced to a five-day high of 0.9389, compared to an earlier low of 0.9360. The euro also edged up against the U.S. dollar, reaching 1.1378 from a low of 1.1325. Further uptrend movement could see resistance around 165.00 against the yen.
