Edited by: Elena Weismann

UniCredit Bank Austria has announced a leadership transition. Jan Zadrazil, who previously held the position of CEO, has stepped down to take on the role of Country Manager for UniCredit in Austria. This change became effective May 1, 2024.

According to a press release, Zadrazil's move reflects the increasing importance of Bank Austria within the UniCredit Group, particularly in the Central and Eastern European (CEE) markets. In his new role, Zadrazil will represent UniCredit in Austria, focusing on stakeholder relations and maintaining connections with key clients in the corporate and private banking sectors.

Ivan Vlaho, formerly CEO of Zagrebacka Banka, has been appointed as the new CEO of UniCredit Bank Austria, also effective May 1, 2024, subject to regulatory approvals. Vlaho will also continue his responsibilities as Deputy Head of the CEE region. Dalibor Cubela, previously Deputy CEO in Bulgaria, has succeeded Vlaho as CEO of Zagrebacka Banka.
