The British pound experienced a significant upswing against major currencies during Friday's European trading session. The pound sterling climbed to a more than two-month peak of $1.2679 against the U.S. dollar, recovering from an earlier low of $1.2647. Against the Japanese yen, the pound reached a two-day high of 190.95, improving from a low of 189.37. Similarly, versus the Swiss franc, it rose to 1.1395 from an initial 1.1372. The pound also saw gains against the euro, edging up to 0.8273 from a previous low of 0.8292. Should the pound continue its upward trajectory, it may encounter resistance around $1.28 against the dollar, 197.00 against the yen, 1.15 against the franc, and 0.80 against the euro.
