Erste Bank Launches Digital IPO Registration for Investors

Erste Bank has introduced a fully digital process for registering securities in initial public offerings (IPOs) through its digital platform, George. This initiative marks a first for the Croatian market, enabling users to register for IPOs without visiting a branch and at any time during the registration period.

Starting from November 20, 2024, at 8:00 AM until November 27, 2024, at 2:59 PM, Erste Bank will facilitate share subscriptions for small investors and institutional investors from Croatia and Poland for Studenac Group S.A.

Investors can subscribe to shares digitally via George online banking, alongside options available at certain Erste Bank branches. Notably, Erste Bank will waive custodial fees for the first year of share storage, valid until December 1, 2025.

This digital registration service completes the securities issuance process, offering arrangements and enabling registration irrespective of the type and value of the issuance. Branimir Britvić, Director of Financial Markets at Erste Bank, expressed confidence that this digital approach would simplify the investment process for investors and enhance interest in IPOs, contributing to the development of the domestic capital market.

The digital registration process on the George platform involves several straightforward steps. Initially, investors can access all relevant documentation for the issuance to make informed investment decisions. The second step involves completing the registration form and obtaining a digital certificate if not previously held, followed by signing the registration form with the certificate in the final step.
